Visas for NON-EU Citizens in Slovakia

A work visa in Slovakia can be obtained for certain employment scenarios. For most situations, a residence permit for employment must be obtained.
Since 2022 the Slovak Republic started issuing special visas – visas in the interest of the Slovak Republic for relocated employees or highly qualified employees – special conditions must be met to obtain these visas.
Visas for highly qualified employees (Dir 521/2021) are suitable for candidates from NON-EU countries with specific education looking to fill highly qualified positions. This visa process does not consider dependents hence family members cannot be included in this type of visa application. Extension of this visa is not possible and later the applicant must obtain a residence permit. Note that the total number of this visa is limited to 3000 in 2023.
Visas for relocated employees (Dir 269/2022) are suitable for highly qualified employees and extend to their family members. Before the applicant can file a visa application approval of the list of relocated employees submitted by the Slovak employing company must be obtained from SARIO ( Slovak Investment and Trade Agency), and these visas can be extended.
Business travelers may or may not require a visa for their short work trips to Slovakia, from certain countries before a visa application can be obtained Verified Invitation from the Foreign Police in Slovakia must be sourced as supporting documentation. While travel to Slovakia may be visa exempted, remember to always review whether activities you would be performing do not require notifications towards authorities or even permits.
NON-EU citizens can stay in Schengen for a maximum of 90 days within any 180 days. It is the responsibility of every foreigner to ensure that these 90 days are not exceeded and that stay even during this period is legal (e.g. valid visa, reported stay) Please note that the 90 days are for general business travel and tourism.
Work and stay without valid permits can result in a penalty or expulsion from the country.
After having been granted a Residence Permit travel within other countries of the Schengen area for 90 days within any 180-day period is possible.

Visa services for NON-EU citizens in Poland

A work visa for Poland can be obtained for certain employment scenarios based on a Work Permit issued for the Employing company and foreigner.
The Visa can be granted for a maximum period of 1 year and cannot be prolonged in Poland.
Prolongation of stay in Poland is done in the form of a Residence Permit application.
Poland has also introduced a Special Business Harbour program for citizens of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus Georgia, Moldova, Russia C, and Ukraine for IT Specialists, startups, and established companies wanting to move their operations to Poland. Based on this program a simplified Visa application is available for Nationals of the mentioned countries.
